IRELAND
A trip to Ireland is one of golf’s special experiences. The dunes are on a grand scale, the scenery spectacular and you can always be assured of a warm welcome. Ireland always delivers!
The quality of golf is tremendous, with Royal County Down a fixture in any World Top 10 list, and the likes of Ballybunion, Royal Portrush, Lahinch, Waterville and Rosapenna are all bucket list experiences.
PLANNING YOUR TRIP
When planning an Irish golf trip, it’s important to work on your itinerary with care as what can look like a short distance on the map can turn into a much longer journey on the narrow, winding roads. Many golfers decide to take the hassle out of the travelling in Ireland by employing a driver for the journey. That also means you can sample any or all of the pubs along the way!
We recommend travelling to Ireland between April and October to ensure the courses are presenting at their best. Courses tend to be at their busiest in the peak of summer but with golf’s recent resurgence, they can be busy year round. To get the best possible itinerary, we recommend planning as far in advance as possible. Ireland remains one of the most popular destinations in the world for golf.
